2023 recruiting

The men’s program has signed Diego Rosas, a midfielder, from San Bentos Texas in the early signing period.

He plays for the Houston dynamo FC II program.

A second signing.

Ángel Martínez, a central defender from Everett WA has signed with the Pilots.

He’s a central defender with the Sounders FC academy and US youth national teams.

I see mention a couple years ago he signed with Borussia Dortmund academy, but I’m not sure how he could have gotten past UEFA and FIFA rules on Non Euro Youth players  playing in Europe.

Joe Highfield a mid/forward from the Minnesota Thunder academy and Wazata high. Has signed for the Pilots.

Wazata won the State championship on his overtime header.

Morgan Olson a mid from New Hope Minnesota has signed. He plays for the Minnesota Thunder Academy and Benilde-St. Margaret's HS.

Seven D.C. United Academy graduates have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to further their academic and athletic careers at Division I universities following high school graduation, and one them, Drew Hartman, will be coming to UP.

Hartman, a 6-1 a goalkeeper from Gonzaga HS in DC, played the 2022 season with Louden United FC on loan from DC United Academy.

The Pilots added Canadian outside defender Jordan Barclay from Scarborough , Ontario.

Jordan is the #2 ranked recruit by FTF Canada.

Interesting looking at the transfer list.
Gonzaga’s Wylie Trujillo was team captain last year as a sophomore.

+4 roster players from last year. Going to be a lot of fighting for playing time.
