Pilots @ UC Riverside (Dec 22 @ 2:00 PM)

Which Pilots team will show up today? They've been alternating between good and awful since PK 85. Good against North Dakota, awful against NDSU, good against New Orleans, awful against Oregon. According to this pattern they should be good today against Riverside?

UCR is coming off a tough OT loss to USD two days ago which saw three of their starters foul out. Best win is away at LMU the second game of the year and they also gave Oregon a good run last week in Eugene.

Power rankings of teams named Highlanders
1) UC Riverside
2) Radford
3) NJIT

Well, so far, the Pilots are playing slow motion compared to UCR.  Loose balls and second chances going to the Highlanders.

No rhythm to the offense, yet.

It's a good thing Legs doesn't have any hair to pull...

All stats except shooting % in favor of the Highlanders...UP up 36-35 at the half.

The whole team (aside from Applewhite) looks totally out of sync.

Yes, watching and not believing same team I have seen. Missed free throws and getting outrebounded by a lot at half.

This is my first time tuning in to an away game radio broadcast this season. I am gathering that the announcers are watching the game on TV from the Chill 'N' Fill on Lombard. Do I have that right?

The piped in crowd noise on the broadcast is ridiculous. Sounds like a world cup crowd there in Riverside! You can hear the the audio engineer turn the crowd back on when they return from commercial breaks.

Ugly and disappointing end of the non-conference, especially after the solid showing in the PK tournament.

The collective last 3 weeks have been a massive "missed opportunity" to build on the national attention that came with the PK85 showing.

Let's hope for a dramatic turnaround like we saw the Pilots have in early February of last year.

I watched the second half. Applewhite kept us in the game...for a while. Missed free throws, outrebounded, and in last 5 minutes we basically rolled over. Something is definitely wrong in Legansland.
