The NCAA has released the first NET rankings of the season, and the #1 team in the nation is BYU!

No, it won't last, but it does come as a bit of surprise after seeing so many good teams playing this season.

In the WCC, on the other hand, there are really no surprises except, perhaps GU being ranked relatively low at #27:

44  San Francisco  5-3
118  Santa Clara  6-2
146  Saint Mary's   3-5
190  LMU  4-4
232  San Diego 5-4
248  Pepperdine 3-7
254  Portland 3-4
344  Pacific 4-6

It's still early, the NET will change significantly as the season progresses, however, seeing five of the nine WCC teams outside the Top-150 is very discouraging.
