NCAA v. House settlemet
There are big changes coming to how rosters and scholarships will be handled going forward as the NCAA a and House lawsuit comes to settlement.

Some immediate takeaways:
There are no longer scholarship limits in sports. Instead, there will be roster limits. There are also no longer head count sports. Nobody has to get a full scholarship. All rostered players can get scholarships Any scholarships can be full or partial.
Under the new guidelines, many sports are getting huge increases in allowable scholarships, and I’m not just talking football going from 85 to 105 scholarships.
For UP, here are some changes in what will be allowed. My understanding is this starts for them2024-2025 seasons.
Basketball: the men will get an increase in 2 roster slots from 13 to 15 to match the women.
soccer: both men and women will be allowed to roster 28 players, all eligible for money up to a full scholarship. The current scholarships are 9.9 for men and 14 for women. But you won’t see a dozen Walk-on’s suited up. Basketball tealms are limited to 15 players.
Baseball: the roster limit will be 34 players with no restriction on who gets scholarships. Currently, teams are limited to 11.7 scholarships, which are shared.
Cross country: the old scholarship limit was 5 for men and 6 for women. The new roster limit is 17 ( T&F goes to 45). Again, they can all get full or partial scholarships.
Volleyball: goes from 12 scholarships to 18 rostered players.
Rowing: goes from 20 scholarships to 68 rostered.
And you thought NIL was a big deal.

Re: NCAA v. House settlemet
If any of you with inside info have heard what the administration's view is how they will approach this major shakeup of Division I sports, it would be great if you would share it here.
