Oh dear, not good news at all...

Wow. This sounds pretty serious, and somehow I get the feeling that the Mexican authorities wouldn't mind making an example of a couple of Spring Breakers in order to make a statement that behavior like that is totally not OK.

I'm sure there is some kind of story to go along with it, but jeesh... they left the guy beaten half-to-death on the side of the road where a taxi finally finds him? Yikes.

I suppose the silver lining is that it seems like Dominguez wasn't directly involved in the attack.

I would like to think this is (another) April Fools joke, but I dont think that the Oregonian would do that with this type of info... they could be sued, etc...

I dont think you want to get in ANY legal or medical problems in Mexico... scary.

This is getting weirder by the second.

There are so many different subplots going on in this story, I don't know what to make of it.... One says the victim's mom struck a deal so that the PSU boys could come home and face a potential civil suit... The other says they are innocent... mysterious sources... Honestly I feel like this is a really bad Law & Order episode playing out before our eyes...

Yeah... it's really hard to try and piece together what happened. I think we'll just have to sit back and wait for it to all come together.

Adding another twist, Dominguez' mom said on the TV news that JD was severely beaten by the Mexican police.

I dont think you want to be an American trying to elude police in Mexico....

This is really odd, and I guess we are all to blame for "believing" everything as it surfaced. This is going to take some time to shake out the truth.

I've reserved judgement from the beginning, as I always do. . . However, something has seemed sketchy about this from the beginning. I can't really put my finger on it; but, there's something not quite right about this whole thing. . .
