A Few Things

As the sports seasons start to wind down a bit and we are reaching the one-year anniversary for Pilot Nation, I was thinking it might be nice to hear some ideas from people about updating the site a bit and make it more of a user-friendly, one-stop shop page that could have some cool stuff for visitors too. I've listed some of my ideas below... if anyone else can think of anything cool, post it! And mods: if you need help with any of it, just let me know.

* We've got a lot of classic videos posted from the soccer championships now... might be cool to set up a little video library on the front page or elsewhere.

* I posted a few of the MiLB links to some of our former players, and I was thinking maybe we could set up a little scroll-down thing on the front page or something like that that would let people click on them, kind of like how they have it at the front page of Dons Central

* What's the capacity for hosting photos? Because there are a ton of awesome pictures on the UP website and on the Purple Pride facebook group. Maybe we could put together a little photo album too.

* More links, like to our Scout and Rivals home pages, the soccer recruiting pages, Pooh's blog, etc.

Like I said, just a few ideas!

Those are all great ideas, Stoney. We could have links on Pilots in other sports, too. As for photos, I know Drummer has a bunch of them he's taken over the years.

All good ideas... and i think we are due for a 1st anniversary makeover!

Lets assemble ideas here, and then we can look into what can be done!

Pilot Nation Birthday: April 28th!

Can't believe it's been that long already. . . My this year has gone by fast, hasn't it? I agree these are great ideas! I was actually thinking about posting an "ideas/suggestions for a 1 yr aniversary makeover" thread myself. . . Thanks for beating me to it, Stonehouse!

I definately think any major changes should be made after the UP Baseball season is over. The board will be slower then and it will be easier to make changes.

Let's keep the ideas rolling until then!

Just thought of another thing... a brief history of UP sports might be kind of cool too. Mainly just media guide type stuff (years we went to the NCAAs, WCC titles, etc.) but also some other things too.

I'll work on putting something together!

Well, we've finally come the end of the road for the 2007-2008 Pilot athletics and it's time to start thinking about updating our site as Stonehouse suggested back in April. Let's get those ideas rolling, shall we?
