La Salle Baseball hosts Friday!
For you La Salle (and non La Salle) alums out there...
The Falcon baseball team hosts North Bend, the number #1 seed out of the Far West League on Friday, May 23. Game time is at 4:30 pm. The Falcons beat Marist 14-3 on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals. It would be great to see a big crowd for this state playoff game. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students.
And, the Track & Field team will be sending numerous athletes to the 4A Track & Field Championships starting on Thursday, May 22. The meet runs from Thursday-Saturday.

Re: La Salle Baseball hosts Friday!
I think we all know the answer to that question. And that answer is Larry Moffet!!!
Very cool to see that the baseball team is doing well again. Chris George is clearly doing a good job.
I think the athletic teams were down for a few years, but I think it's getting better now (though I'm sure whole 6A thing helped with that) with football, soccer, and now baseball all doing well. And I think even XC and track have had some good success recently too. Not sure about volleyball/tennis/swimming and such that we used to totally dominate.
But I think we just have to accept that times have changed from the late 90's glory years, when we won at least three state championships every year and at least won the Tri-Valley Conference in everything else. (Except fooball, of course.)

The men's basketball team is going have about ten seniors next year. Playing time will not be determined by experience necessarily, but by what is needed to at least compete, if not win.The majority of this last season's games were within five or less points. I've gone to a few open gyms, and they look quite a bit better.
