Ravio out for the Tournament
I didn't want to write anything until it was confirmed but it looks as if Nik will not be back in time to play in Vegas. On a positive note, the team has played well without him and has been tested only losing to Gonzaga and LMU and beating Saint Mary's with him on the bench. Here's to hoping that Nem and Jasonn continue to play at a high level coming off the bench. Here is the release from ESPN.
Portland guard Nik Raivio has been out for more than a month with an Achilles strain, and the team's leading scorer will also miss the West Coast Conference tournament, coach Eric Reveno said today.
"It's just taking it's time," Reveno said of the injury. "He's working really hard. My heart goes out to him."
Reveno said he was holding out hope for the senior to come back for possible postseason tournament action. The No. 3-seeded Pilots (19-9) have a bye by into the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament and will play Saturday. They'll have to take the title in order to get an NCAA tournament berth.

That's unfortunate...although I wasn't expecting him to contribute much after missing so much time.
What I was really hoping for was him to suit up and get a couple of minutes tomorrow night so the crowd can thank him for all he has given us.
