South Carolina State announce its class of 14 recruits for 2009. They all showed up on the BS spreadsheet we all sneak a peak at here.

Do you think any top prospects are waiting for the championship before committing? One of the reasons for the verbals getting earlier and earlier is coaches are using the ploy that full scolarships may be available now but maybe not in the future?

The really top prospects are in the driver's seat and can commit when they want. Verloo, for example, declared just before the season started.

The ones that aren't quite as fought over are the ones that are under the gun to declare early if they want the best offers from the top tier schools.

If they wait, they only get the crumbs left over after the top recruits make their choices.


Some top recruits want to commit reasonably early to get rid of all the coaches pestering them.
