Here we go: time to show we deserve the #2 seed in the tourney.

The game at Jenny Craig Pavilion tips off at 7pm, and will be televised on Comcast SportsNet NW, channel 37.

Per the USD website, not only will Trumaine Johnson not play for the rest of the year, he will transfer at the end of the semester: LINK

Sophomore guard Trumaine Johnson (Houston, TX) will not return to the team this season, and he will transfer at the end of the semester, it was announced today by head coach Bill Grier. This season he appeared in 14 games with 11 starts and averaged 11.6 points per game. Last year as a freshman he played in 35 games with 16 starts and averaged 5.7 points per game.

USD has been struggling lately, but did beat Pacific @ home 66-60 in a Bracketbuster game last weekend.

Hopefully we can continue to pound the ball down low, and with Hegarty on the bench, that gives us an extra body against Gyno Pomare...

I imagine it will still be a tough game. This year other WCC schools are giving us more respect and beating us actually means something. It will be nice to have a WIN ,by 1 or 15. I just remember the beat down the Pilot's took last year at Jenny Craig. Hopefully without Brandon Johnson and the other Johnson we can get off to a good start which is alway's key for the Pilot's on the road. Even with 3's in our arsenal it always seem's settling to see Kramer or Robin make our first few basket's to get the game started well.

Oh, it will be a tough game for sure; USD is still a good team... but you are right, I hope we can get off to a solid start and establish the post game right away.
