Final Homestand: USD @ UP Thursday, 7pm

The final 2 home games of the outstanding year are this weekend... get out and support the surging Pilots!

The 5th place Toreros (6-6, 15-11) visit Chiles Center Thursday to play the 2nd place Pilots (9-3, 16-11). We currently have a 1-game lead over 3rd place Pepperdine (8-4), who is on the road @SMC (5-7) & @USF (2-10) this weekend. Our final game on Saturday is against the 8th place SCU Broncos (1-11, 3-24), so Thursday's game is HUGE, as we can clinch the #2 seed with a win!

Just like the men's team, if the women win out, we get the #2 seed and the bye to the semi-finals... Remember that this year the women's WCC tourney bracket has reverted back to match the men's.

A quick review of the tiebreaker scenarios: It looks like Pepp's 4 losses are to UP, GU, LMU & USD. Our 3 losses are to GU, LMU & Pepp. So a win Thursday over USD will clinch the #2 seed for us, even if we were to lose to SCU Saturday. But we wont lose to SCU on Senior Night, now will we?!
