UP Men's Soccer Fundraiser for Children with Cancer

Greetings all -

The University of Portland Men's Soccer team is participating in a fundraser with the St. Baldrick's Foundation in order to attempt to find a cure for cancer, particularly types found most in children.

On April 19, each player will be at Barracuda Bar & Grill on 9 NW 2nd Street Downtown at 1pm to get their head shaved in order to bring awareness to the prevalence of childhood cancer, which is the most fatal disease in children today. Using the link below, you can donate to the team's cause (and even do it in a particular player or cancer patient's name).

Many people, myself included, have had friends and family members affected by life threatening disease, and cancer in particular. As such, he team is taking the fundraiser very seriously, and I highly encourage you to do the same. Even the smallest donation will go a long way in the fight against cancer!
