Portland 2-0 Vancouver
The team looked great last night. The passing has improved markedly, great chances from the forwards all night. If some shots had been on target there could have been a few more goals.
Vancouver brought maybe 30 supporters; good to see people traveling to cheer on their team.
Finally: Didn't make it yesterday, but the U23s won 4-2.

The Timbers beat Cleveland last night to wrap up the regular season. It was a little rocky these last couple weeks, but they've won the league.
Next up is a week off for the first round of the playoffs. They play the first leg of their semifinal tie on the road October 1 or 2, and the home leg on October 4.

A little SI.com blurb about the situation telling us stuff we all know anyway:

Vancouver 2-1 Portland
Portland 3-3 Vancouver (Van 5-4)
I wondered if the Timbers would fold after falling behind in the second half, but Portland's own Alex Nimo tied it on a beautiful shot. Cue one of the most exciting ten-minute stretches of football I've ever seen. All that was missing was the goal that would have forced extra time.
So that's it. But not bad at all for my first season following the Timbers. We still won the regular season. We went unbeaten for 25 games. They fought to the end, and that was all we wanted.
Good luck to the Whitecaps. Win it for Cascadia!

All that was missing was thegoalPK call when Taka got hauled down in the box in the 89th minute that would have forced extra time.

Yeah, there was that. As well as the sing-along at the Bitter End.
