Hey... everyone really needs to check out the new blog about the Australia trip. Tons of good stuff on there, with photos, a short podcast with Rev, a video of the team working out... seriously, this is unbelievable access. We are spoiled, so let's take advantage of it. Go there... now:

Not that I'm not enjoying this diversion, but back to the subject of this thread....

http://www.portlandpilots.com/sports/2009/4/30/MBB_0430090624.aspx

There is a pretty awesome video of the team beating each other up during a drill with the Golden State Warriors strength & conditioning coach. The highlight is probably Nem taking down Big John.

There are some good photos too.

OH, and there is a big link/button on the front page of PortlandPilots.com now for easy access.

Seriously, people... check this stuff out. This is about as good of access any fans have to their team in all of D1 hoops. And I'm not kidding about that.

Nice. I can't imagine what Rev would Twitter about regarding the fans after a game:

Saw the guys heading back from Chiles after another win over SMC. They were a bleeping motley looking bunch carrying Pliny's and running toward the dorms. Wouldn't want to mess with them on the street...

(I don't know about the bleeping part; that's just embelishment...)

This is some great stuff for us diehards. My favorite Reveno tweet:

"Hagerty leveled Stohl this morning. And Jared liked it!! Now, we are getting somewhere. Med balls and blocking dummies - great practice."

Very nice.

I just watched that martial arts training video.... wow that looks like an intense practice! You can't help but thing the guys are having fun getting to spend a couple hours just knocking the hell out of each other.

My other fave tweet:
Saw the guys walking over to the Spa at Howard. They are a motley looking crew going to the pool. Reminds me of the pool scene in Caddyshack

(My question is, who is dropping the snickers bar in the pool??)

The other one:
Much has been said about all our players being back. Overlooked is all asst coaches are back for their 4th season of helping guys get better

You can't undervalue the role of having consistency with the Assistants, under Holton it seemed like a carousel of supporting cast, it's just great to see such dedication from Rev and his entire coaching crew.... Then again I'd stay an extra year or so if it meant an all expenses paid trip to Australia too Razz

Yeah, that martial arts video is cool. Hopefully, it will pay dividends when a Hegarty screen knocks a GU player on his tail next year!
