Where to Go for College Soccer Scores
We can't let a day go by this near to the season without a post, so I thought I'd share the latest information I have about where to go for college soccer scores. This is important to me, since I need accurate and current score data in order to do RPI reports.
In the past, the best source I've known of was the NSCAA/Adidas-sponsored system run by SIS. NSCAA (the national collegiate soccer coaches' association) now has unhooked from SIS, but SIS again will be running a score-gathering system. It will be under the name SIS Soccer Scoreboard, and you can reach it using the following link: http://scoreboard.soccerinfo.com/cgi-bin/collegehomepage.pl?type=c&state=&ranka=1&season=09&sport=s&new=001
However, NSCAA has contracted with a new entity to run a website that includes scores. The new entity is Go College Soccer. To get to its website, use the following link: http://gocollegesoccer.com/Woman%20Homepage/tabid/597/default.aspx Although this purports to be the link for the women's page, it may take you to the men's page. If so, you'll have to use the tab at the top right of the page to get to the women's page. The NSCAA-published rankings and post-season awards are committed to using the GoCollegeSoccer data, so I suspect that this is likely to become the source of choice for complete and up-to-date college soccer scores, but we'll see ....
I also understand that ESPNU's website is an excellent source for scores. I haven't used their website in the past, but I'll be checking it out. Here's a link to its women's college soccer page: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/scoreboard?sport=wsoccer&&type=all&date=20090723

Thank you always looking for sites to follow...
Not being in Portland anymore is a tough wrap to keep up with the teams and stats other than individual team web sites...
