Oh man... that's scary stuff right there. I hope the firefighters can contain it.

It reminds me of the Bluff fire from a few years ago that threatened UP...

The Franciscans run a retreat center across Malibu Canyon from Pepperdine, and one of my aunts lived there for about ten years. You can figure that there's going to be a fire every year, a bad fire every other year, and a really, really bad fire about once every five years. And when I say really, really bad, think the Biscuit Fire transplanted into an urban area. The Santa Ana winds are really nasty.

Wildfire near Pepperdine Empty Wow, getting worse

Post by PilotNut Mon Oct 22, 2007 11:35 am

My goodness this is getting scary in S. Cal... my thoughts are with everyone battling these fires. pale

I cant tell if the fire near Pepperdine is getting worse, but the overall fire situation in S. California sounds like it got worse over night.
