I'm not gonna lie, Omar has really grown on me as of late... Sure he can go a little overboard with the histrionics on the court or flap his jaw a little more than some would like, but I don't think there's any way of denying he does it all in good fun. He's legitimately enjoying himself, and letting his personality come out on the court. I think he's one of those guys that you loathe if he's on the other team because of both the personality AND the fact that he delivers on the court, but if he's on your team, you absolutely love it. He doesn't mind playing the role of the heel, getting players out of their game.

It clearly worked on that team up north.

Scott Van Pelt talked about him a little today. He basically said if your rival school's fans hate you, then you are probably doing something right. Not sure if Gonzaga is their rival, but if Bulldog fans don't like him, then I sure do like him.

Omar is the real deal. I expect him to have a good pro career too. His intensity reminds me a bit of Brook Lopez (who Rev coached at Stanford), but, hopefully he'll get to play on a better pro team...

Check out ESPN.com. Samhan just did a podcast interview with Bill Simmons. I'm about to listen to it. Could be interesting....

Yeah nothing crazy. I was hoping for a lot better. Simmons' interviews arent your textbook interview so i was hoping for a lot more too.

Personally, i'm not a fan of Samhan. Too cocky for me. I'm all for confidence but you dont have to tell me all about it. Thats just me though. Maybe its because i was on the receiving end of one of those elbows....
