Hello and questions on departed Pilots

I first wanted to say hello Pilot Nation! I am so glad a I found this site. After reading many of your posts...wow, my compliments, what a great source of information and you all can be pretty entertaining as well.

There is something that has been bugging me most of the year and I am hoping you guys can shed some light on this for me and that's what ever happened to BJ Porter? I kept waiting for his return throughout the year and now based on some of the comments regarding available scholarships for next year I take it he's not coming back next year either. So Sad. I thought he had good athleticism and a lot of potential. And I guess while we are on the topic of departed Pilots, does anyone know why big John Hegarty left UP?

There were lots of rumors circling on both players, but all that is official is that both first went on personal leaves, and then did not return.

I wish the best for both... they were missed this year and both could have contributed significantly.

(I think that was the most beige answer to anything I've ever read, like if I ate that, I'm pretty sure the words would taste like unflavored gelatin)

As for hagerty, he left once, nothing strange that he left the again, just as theteam was preparing to leave for Australia. Imature, probably, homesick, probably not as he later left for Europe to try basketballover there. Doubtful he would have stayed for the long haul anyway.
Porter, from what i heard it was a family issue but we heard little after that. He came back and finished the term at school.Case closed.

It is my understanding that B.J. will be transferring to a school closer to his home in Utah. That is what THIS tweet from Coach Reveno said.

At last, a pilot BB player who doesn't transfer to the Vikings.
I wish him well as in my view he helped us when Ethan went down last year annd will be a good player for someone. Perhaps Weber State in which case the Vikings will see him
