Pilots @ BYU

Last WCC game between the Pilots and BYU.

UP looking for (I think) win #3 over BYU, to go along with the Bobby Sharp Game and the one in Rev's last year.

And if the Pilots are looking for a reason to feel good, I would say that Pacific about to shake up the WCC standings by upsetting LMU is enough to give them a kick in the rear!!

BYU > UOP by 20
UOP > LMU by 6
LMU > UP by 20

Portland > Air Force by 13
Air Force > South Dakota by 21
South Dakota > BYU by 1

Watching the pregame show on byuTV. They’re talking about Tyler Haws’ 48-point night against the Portland.

Dude could have scored 70 that night but it’ll still always be the Bobby Sharp Game!!

I will always remember that game. I was watching my cousins, who were grade school age, while my aunt was on an anniversary ski trip. Being how unresponsible I am, there was no way we were leaving early! Triple overtime made for a really rough morning, but it was totally worth it.

If the Pilots can ever figure out how to get Sjolund, Wood, Robertson, and Meadows going at the same time…. look out

In the two WCC games so far:
Vucinic: 40 min, 8 shots, 4 points
Nduka: 36 min, 3 shots, 0 points
Perry: 53 min, 6 shot, 3 points

BYU focused on Meadows, and only Sjolund kept the Pilots in the game for a while. As long as teams only have to focus their defense on one or two players, Pilots will struggle.

I don't understand why Wyatt Lowell isn't getting major minutes these days.  We know he can shoot and he's increasingly confident in the Pilots' game - and much as I love Chika, it seems like it's about time to cool it on the technicals (but I guess why bother if it doesn't affect your minutes?).

Chika's minutes were mid 20s last season and early this season. They're now closer to mid teens and he hasn't seen more than 20 since November.
