Saw a note on Rev's twitter that the team has new uniforms. He linked a picture, which is HERE

Doesn't look very purple. Suspect

They look purple enough. Does someone have a shot of the old ones for a comparison?

I'm envisioning a tenacious, swarming defense in those uniforms in the post season. Smile

ughh...Nike! I agree they don't look purple to me either, more of a blueberry'ish. And the white trim reminds me of Gonzaga's unis. Not a big fan.

Pretty blah/simplistic, but serviceable... I'd be curious what the whole shorts look like, and the long baggy look with the trim top is the new Nike style, more efficient/technologically advanced their marketing group would have you believe... Teams like Ohio State, Oregon, Duke and other bigger programs (notice I didn't say better there Ducks, HA!) have been wearing them the last couple years...

I remember reading somewhere in the official
UP documents that the official color was
Pantone 259 (RGB 6E267B)

That ain't it.

Yeah, but UP doesn't even sell those uniforms, so they pretty much gets whatever purple nike has on stock... As much as I would enjoy the actual official custom color, sadly there aren't enough of us to justify it... blah.

Even the Timbers, in Nike's backyard, had to use off-the-rack kits.

UP is taking baby steps. This year they were selling polos and jackets in the same styles the big schools get. They seem to have been popular sellers, I wonder why...

Well, I think I was wrong on the color. the uniforms are a lot closer to the color in the UP brand Book than the Purple.

So,Pantone 275 it is (25205e). I don't think we'll see the grey anytime soon.

Where did I get the other color? the UP website? Did they redo it while I slept? did they change the color to the Nike Pallet? Is that the color for priest's vestments? am I just senile?

OK, I'll concede the latter...but that still doesn't answer my question.

(uh oh PNut, the Geez is calling us out for having our colors be unofficial...)

Ya know, that pantone grey color could make a pretty sweet tertiary color on uniforms though like as trim with the white.... Just saying...

It's actually starting to bug me. And if you look at old college material, the Purple is definitely more uhh.. purple. The old background for the UP.edu site was a lot more purple.

Its not the color purple on the uniforms that matters to me, it's the color of the purple of the bruises that Luke, KRAMER,& Jasonn put on their opponents that is important....also the purple the PILOTS get On their knees, elbows, an hips when diving for loose balls on the court, ha, lol....
