How big is this offseason?
It seems like this a big offseason for the women's soccer program.
Several questions arise:
1. How does the potential for no spring games affect this young team?
2. What will this team look like for next year?
3. What is the final recruiting class look like?
4. Ideas for the schedule for next year? Non-conference schedule?

Re: How big is this offseason?
For Non Conf, we had 5 PAC 12 teams on the schedule in 2011: OSU, UW, WSU, Stanford and USC. Seems like we play UW every year. I expect we'll have 3 or 4 of the NW PAC 12 schools in 2012. I assume we might have UO since we didn't play them in 2011. We did home and away with Stanford the last two years. Cal home and away in 2009/2010 so maybe time for another game with them. USC game this year might be payback for 2008 game there or we might owe them game there. It has been a while since we AZ. IN 2006 we did road trip to AZ for UA and N. Az.
I expect we'll have some one like SD St, UC-I, or CS-N here since we went there in 2011.
Who knows who UW might have in for their tourney. it has been: '11 BU and Seattle, '10 Wis & Syr, '09 Col College, Columbia, '08 Kenesaw St and Colgate.

Rumor has it we open at home with a certain team that wears light blue kits.
we also owe games to FSU and Miami, I think, but one of those might wait a year for payback.
I don't think things get easier next year.

Just some guesses based on this year:saebo98661 wrote:

Kendall Johnson should be back and that will be huge. You can imagine what that will do to the left side whether she plays in the back or in midfield. Bridges probably plays on the left side with her. On the right I'd say it's Brooke and Cruz. Colohan and Lorielle McCluskie at the center back spots. Kurle seemed to do all right in the defensive mid role late in the year and Parker has been good at CAM. Up top, Capelle and Frisbie or Cameli. Dees will probably be in goal more often than Downing.
Then again I don't know about the new players, at least one of whom will probably get into the XI at some point.

I am just very curious to see the final recruiting list of players for next season. The team graduated a lot of seniors, and so I am hoping they bring in as many freshmen for next year.

You know they're going to an updated version of that logo (minus the powder blue jerseys)? Looks sweet.

I think this rumor has just been confirmed, perhaps inadvertantly...PurpleGeezer wrote:Rumor has it we open at home with a certain team that wears light blue kits.
