Portland Pilots website...
I´ve noticed a lot of improvements in the Portland Pilots website, with the new links to Facebook and Twitter and everything else in recent years. I also like how clicking on the championship cup or chalice brings you to the Hall of Fame players and coaches. However, after you click on the individual names, I felt a bit of a let down. No stats, no photos...only the year that they were inducted. For a relative younger Pilot (early 40s) looking for a sense of history, this left me asking...why?
Even for people with plenty of accessable material like Clive Charles, there´s nothing there except the year of induction. I don´t get it. I hope this can be one of the next projects for improvement.

Priorities! Baby steps! One thing at a time! The website is still under development, but yes, it sounds a great project for an intern (if there are no better projects - PRIORITIES).onetouchfutbol wrote:I hope this can be one of the next projects for improvement.
On the bright side of "one thing at a time," did you happen to notice that actual PURPLE pom poms were deployed for the St. Mary's (men) and San Diego (women) games? The metallic/iridescent purple look is new and fresh, and when I spoke to one of the ladies exhibiting them, I was told “they like them” and "they are here to stay!" I was told it was all about “the look” of the "plain" purple pom poms that kept them from changing sooner. And I was told some of the "old alumni" brought about the change. Take a bow PN regulars .

Speaking of the website... That "All-Americans" button still lacks content.

But to be an "old alumni" you actually have to have attended UP, but the Geez's alma mater not being UP just makes him "old" I guess?
