This "fishing gal" runs a local forum with +40K members. While you may debate whether or not fishing and hunting are sports, if PilotNation had 40,000 users, PilotNut might even make the list.

I'd like to see Canzano do a little homework and go outside listing Blazers, Nike, Ducks guys. There are lots of guys who to influential things around town on a smaller scale that should be recognized.

Is there not someone with the parks department or local youth sports program that is more deserving of the list than an assistant coach or VP?

What about the Widmer Brothers? How many people partake in their products before, during and after sporting events in OR? How many of their marketing dollars flow to arenas and stadiums around the state?
