Re: Notre Dame
After the game, when the players were headed over to the student section for the now traditional run along the line with high fives etc., Lorielle (who was changed out of her uniform) was walking in that direction. The trainer who had been attending to her, stopped her and appeared to be explaining to her (with emphatic hand gestures!) that she needed to take it easy and slow down and not go over there.
The ND goal off the corner was perhaps partly a function of the fact that Lorielle was not 100% at that point.
Having said that, in all honesty a tie was probably not unfair because ND hit the frame three times. Pilots had better chances and there was the unfortunate PK miss. Speaking of stunned players, it looked like maybe Amanda was not 100% when she took the kick. She'd gotten whacked pretty hard on the foul.

Re: Notre Dame
Pilot Nation can you help answer a question about their uniforms? I was wondering what the small black patches read on their sleeves?
Does it say Clive...?

Re: Notre Dame
Great game. The Pilots need games like this to grow as individuals and as a team. I thought ND was the most athletic team they have played so far this season. Playing them to a draw while not what any of us were hoping for, was still a positive step in the development of this team.
Lorielle had to come out of one of the games last weekend for a minute or two after bumping heads with an opposing player.

Thanks! I haven't shot a game since probably the 2007-2008 season...it's HARD to shoot when it gets that dark (now that I no longer have the lens my dad loaned me when I was shooting for The Log). The goal was luck - I just held the shutter down as the ball bounced off people over and over again.

Re: Notre Dame
The Notre Dame Women's Soccer Facebook page posted a video that stated that UP students "challenged" the support of their fans. We all know who the real challenger is of course!
