This is the largest scoreboard in webcast history.
Decent start by the Pilots...they turned the camera away from Carr after he went down but it didn't look good. Announcers said as much, too.

Carr's back in. Still can't get the video to load, but I'm listening on the radio.

23-21 Pilots down by 2, 6:49 to go in the first half.
I missed the tip off... but there sure are a lot of empty seats in there for being almost a sell out...?

Apparently it's 60 degrees outside, so 2,000 or so season ticket holders are no-shows.PilotNut wrote:I missed the tip off... but there sure are a lot of empty seats in there for being almost a sell out...?

Tied at the half...and the funny thing is the Pilots haven't exactly looked like a well-oiled machine.

A good start, frankly....sure we could ask for fewer turnovers, but I'm proud and pleased with the first half.

If we can get turnovers under control, that will go a long way in this game.
33-33 is a good result for this type of game; the Pilots have weathered the emotions in the gym after the banner reveal, and now just need to focus on taking care of the ball and playing our game in the 2nd half. Oh, and hit some freethrows!
GO PILOTS!

The video feed is falling apart...as are the Pilots. 15-4 run by Ohio to start the half.

I blame the video feed falling apart. Now that it's working better again hopefully we do better.

The video feed seems to crap out every time we get possession... that may be a merciful thing, based on our offensive performance in the 2nd half...

On the possessions the video works it seems like we're trying to do too much one on one offense rather than playing as a team in the 2nd half. More passing!

23 Turnovers (and 35 OU points off TO's). 35% shooting. 58% FT shooting.
This is one ugly stat sheet.... ugh.

Re: Pilots @ Ohio U., Saturday 11/10/2012, 11:00am
To put the game in perspective I think we have to remember Ohio is a Sweet 16 team with all of their starters back. UP is better, but still young and less talented than Ohio.
Last year’s complaint against Rev when the Pilots played Ohio U was he didn’t use his bench…..today he did, and I think it will pay off in future games. Everyone who traveled with the team played except Ehlers (Ahern and Cason did not travel), and the freshmen and Korey got some pretty good minutes.
Unfortunately Korey, Oscars, and Bryce played like freshmen….but that’s to be expected considering their lack of experience, the first game of the season, and on the road.
Positives: Without paying attention to the stats, the leadership and hustle of Carr and Nicholas....although I would like to have seen Carr get some better looks.
Disappointments: besides the stat sheet, Rodgers inability to score and K Bailey's overall play...although he did score nine, I believe.
Twenty minutes of pretty darn good basketball, but what happened to the TEAM game the last 10 minutes? Instead of working to get better, it appeared the guys just started putting it up.
The team should have this game behind them after rehashing it tonight in Ohio. When they arrive home tomorrow evening they’ll hit the books, watch video, and practice….and the next thing you know it’s Thursday and Idaho State is in town and the Pilot Club will have beer and wine for sale.
