From another thread......
But stuff can happen in the long run......
I guess we no longer care, in the short run.DeanMurdoch wrote:Wonder if Jared is still planning on doing the two-year mission? That would mean he'd come in after the loss of Barker, Carr, vdM, and the Bailey brothers.

Re: Recruiting News: Never Too Early
The Verbal Commits site is quite something.
It has Cohee's offer on there now, along with a new name - 2015 SG Jeremy Hemsley. Interesting assortment of offers to Hemsley, including UP, Pepperdine, New Mexico, and Boston College.

Cohee, from Langley, BC is atually getting quite a bit of attention from NW schools, including UW and GU....although I doubt they too have made an offer.DeanMurdoch wrote:The Verbal Commits site is quite something.

I believe the extended Barker family has a number of basketball contacts in the area....perhaps they can be of some help.

Re: Recruiting News: Never Too Early
So 3/4 open scholarships for class of 2014. What do you suppose is coming in? One each of SF, PF, and C along with a guard?

Re: Recruiting News: Never Too Early
Well, here's the box/chart imported from another thread:
The team can never have enough shooters/scorers, so for sure we'll see at least one SF and one Combo.
So, yup, looks like UP needs one of everything please.....
If UP picks up a transferring PF this summer who's good through 2016, they will still need another PF in 2014 if J. Bailey leaves after graduation in 2014. The ideal situation would be a very good rebounding and scoring PF, creating less of a need for a dominate C.DoubleDipper wrote:With all credit to DTLegend for the original "box," I've updated the roster as we believe it to be:It's my belief that J. Bailey will NOT be on the roster after he graduates in May 2014....leaving UP with ZERO PFs on the roster from the current group.
2014 2015 2016 2017 pg Wintering
Zubizarretasg Thieleke
RileyCarr
SharpPressley sf K. Bailey pf Nicholas J. Bailey c van der Mars

Please, no more defections!!

Oh, and I would love to see Oskars name appear in that box a year from now in the 2017 column......Zubi, Alec, and Oskars would make an impressive trio. #everhopeful

Re: Recruiting News: Never Too Early
Since his breakout performance for his AAU team at the Pangos Sweet 16 Tournament last month, there has been quite a bit of interest in 6’8” PF Joe Furstinger, Class of 2014. He’s thought to be eying a PAC-12 school.

Re: Recruiting News: Never Too Early
UC Irvine, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Fresno State, Pilots...interesting that none of his listed offers are from the PAC-12 considering he seems to e a solid 3* recruit.

Gabe Vincent, playing for the Oakland Soldiers AAU team, but living in UOP's Stockton, is garnering quite a bit of attention for his ability to SCORE!!

I have no idea where I saw it - and funny thing is that I wasn't even looking for anything remotely related - but the Pilots have apparently offered a 2014 SG out of Arizona. Ryan Richardson, I believe name was.

I'll guess that "swapping in the Hokies" would be more accurate in this case.PilotNut wrote:Are they swapping out the Pokies for real M&M's?

Yea, Ryan is part of a pipeline from Dobson HS in Mesa....maybe MesaPilot can steer Ryan to UP.DeanMurdoch wrote:I have no idea where I saw it - and funny thing is that I wasn't even looking for anything remotely related - but the Pilots have apparently offered a 2014 SG out of Arizona. Richardson is versatile and a good shooter, but best of all IMO is his length. At 6'5" and still growing, he could be a tough matchup for some on the wing.

Congratulations, but if you keep up all the excellent posting you're going to create quite a problem for the administrators.....will they have to change the "All-American" category to "All-North American?"DeanMurdoch wrote:Edit: hey look, I'm a "Pilot Nation regular" now! Are you one of those Tea Party types trying to exclude South Americans?
