MSOC: Final from Merlo, Pilots blank OSU 3-0 after Velasco adds a goal in the 90th minute!! @doddy503 with several big saves!

Dang, I miss a game to play golf and the boys beat the Beavers.....and a shutout! 

"interesting" match. The Beavs owned the midfield and were constantly in our end and all three scores were off counters -Velasco, Sanchez, Velasco. The last was in the 90th minute when we were a man down, their keeper came to the side of  his box to keep the ball in play and Jaime beat him to the ball and scored an empty netter.

Big win for the Pilots. Still have work to do, but they are fun to watch.

And Dobson did have some great saves.

The second goal came from nothing on an outstanding individual effort by Sanchez.  Under pressure on a 50-50 ball, he let it bounce and hit a bullet on the volley into the back corner of the net from 25.  Probably one of the most well-taken goals I've seen at Merlo.

Velasco's chip of the keeper in the first half was as nifty as it was calm.

A beautiful evening at Merlo.  Too bad there weren't more there to see it.  What's up with the 6 PM start on a Thursday???
