What the hell?

Ok, now I'm getting this silly thing when I log on PilotNation.



What the hell is tapia talk, why do I want it? And how do I get rid of the splash screen?
Clicking on an 'X' doesn't do it.


All I can figure is that it is an APP that gives you less functionality than going to the site itself.

It reminds me of this XKCD cartoon



It does nothing to enhance that masthead somebody spent lots of time on. It even showed up un the  XKCD site when I went to get the picture.

Geezer, I'm just guessing here, but have you taken that brand new iPad someplace you shouldn't have?

Well tapatalk is a nice app (I use it for several boards) but I have not seen any adds for it here (or any other adds here for that matter).  I'm with DD, you should be careful where you use that thing.   

(I don't even think that it works with PilotNation, unless PilotNut made some changes recently)

I have not made any changes... but our host makes changes all the time. You can take a look on the help forums, to see if there is anythign there... click on the "Free forum support" link on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Well, just one step short of smashing the thing to Smithers, I got the ad zombie to stop.
My old ipad was looking better and better.

It took all these steps to do it.

Clear cookies
Set iOS7 ad privacy setting to "limit ad tracking" ( it has a no privacy option?)
Reset add tracking
Did hard reset on machine.

If I skipped any of these steps, the ad would come back.

And now I wouldn't download that APP if it came with a lap dance from this year's SI bikini models.
