2014 fall schedule

NC State - there. August 24th at noon est.

UP "owes" UNC and Wake matches. You have to assume at least one of those teams will be on a swing East.

So much for playing UNC this fall.

Their schedule is out. They play UCLA, Stanford, and Pepperdine from the West coast.

LMU has posted its fall schedule.

They come to Merlo October 26 at 1:00 PM

Miami's schedule has them at the Portland Nike invitational to play UP at 7:00 PM on Sept. 12 and playing UW at noon on the 14th.

Gleaned a bit more info on the Fall schedule. We open against Kentucky on 8/16 at 7:00pm (exhibition game). The NC State game on 8/24 is preceded by an 8/22 game at FSU in Tallahassee at 4:00pm. We get Stanford here on 8/30 at 7:00pm.

UP will play in the Husky Classic in Seattle 9/5 - 9/7. We play Dartmouth on 9/5 at 4:30pm followed by Wisconsin at 11:30am on 9/7. Our own Nike Invitational is 9/12 - 9/14 with UW, SDSU and Miami in the field. 9/12 has UW v. SDSU at 4:30pm and UP v. Miami at 7:00pm. 9/14 has UW v. Miami at noon and UP v. SDSU at 2:30pm.

The Pilots travel to Corvallis to play OSU on 9/19 at 7:00pm and then travel to Seattle to play SU at 7:00pm on 9/25. The Pilots then face UW at home on 9/28 at 1:00pm.

WCC play than kicks off with home games on 10/3 v. UOP; 10/5 v. SMU; 10/24 v. LMU; and 10/26 v. Pepperdine. WCC road games include 10/9 @ BYU; 10/12 @ USD; 10/31 @ USF; 11/2 @ SCU; and 11/8 @ Gonzaga.

I find it very interesting that Wazoo has continued it's avoidance of the Pilots. Maybe it's Portland's decision though...less chance of injury if they don't play the Cougs.

Anyone know about the season tickets? The team news story about the new schedule says season tickets are on sale now. I just watched the Thorns webcast and there was a commercial stating the season tickets go on sale on 6/4.

We just got our renewal package yesterday.

I talked to a couple folks at the Thorns match who also got their renewal package.

Something I just noticed:

The Pilots list 19 players on their roster. Five are juniors or seniors. Fourteen are freshmen or sophomores (includes red-shirts). This is a young team.

OK, the season is officially underway with the first day of practice yesterday.  The Pilots are ranked No. 11 in the NSCAA's preseason poll and look to defend their WCC title in 2014 after sharing it last season.

Pilots are picked 2nd behind BYU. Evans, Boon, and Wetherington are in the preseason all-WCC team, which will line up in a 3-4-5 formation with no GK that should provide plenty of offensive fireworks.
