Be aware there were time shifts from the original schedule if you are heading North.

Friday's game is at 3:00PM against Dartmouth and Sunday's game is at 10:30AM  against Wisconsin, according to the UP and husky websites.

The Badger website has our Sunday game at 10:00.

For those of us driving up on Sunday morning the difference between 10am and 10:30am is significant. It's another 30 minutes of sleep!

Reminds me of that home game in the '05 season where we packed the house and beat them 5-1.  We hadn't allowed a goal all year until they poached one in the waning minutes seconds.  Great atmosphere.

LINK: Dairy Night

And walk-on Colleen Salisbury, of Clive's final recruiting class, with a goal.

Pilots up 1-0 on a goal from Parkes. Nice cross though the box from Danica.

Almost complete possession by the Pilots.

1-0 final.

Lots of possession, not all that many shots. Best moment besides the goal was a Danica pipe shot low and far post. And Dartmouth cleared a shot off the line twice.

One scarey moment at the end with an open net.

Dartmouth shot wide.

Interesting parking fee structure at UW.

$8 for the UP-Dartmouth match, but they told us we could come and go.  Went to check into  the hotel and came back for the second half of the Husky game with Wisconsin and the gates were automatic and $6.

But since we were told there was re entry, I got a staff person to let us back in.

So there is a $2.00 premium if you are an ivy leaguer or a Pilot fan.

UW beat UW 4-0

The badger kind came out on top. Not sure if the cheeseeaters are very good or the Husky defense is that disorganized. I suspect more of the latter.

The game was played at a bit faster pace. Lots of running and long stuff.

I think parking is free on Sunday....at least it was the last time.

If you parked in the E4 lot just before the UW driving range it was only $3, but it was about a quarter mile walk to the field.

Beautiful morning here in Seattle for a game. Parking was indeed free. Pilots are stretching and the Badgers are doing some drills. Hannah is not wearing her boot she wasn't limping when she walked out. She's got on her clears but she's not warming up with Taylor.

Is the reffing as bad as the audio says?
The audio guy is usually pretty even handed, but outraged at the reffing today.

And the Pilots were wretched in the first half. Better in the second. Wisconsin were physical long-ball team. It worked through half time. Pilots are a young team with Jeter learning how to play defense and Kurle learning how to play up front.

I'm not sure either characterization is fair.

On at least one goal, and I'll submit the PK, the central defenders had no support. In the PK case, it was when Danica, a forward tracking back, fell, that the opportunity opened up. On another, the defender had two players on a break to worry about.

And the same could be said about the offence.  When Kurle or Danica had the ball in the attacking third there was often nobody in  support of an attack.

It is a team thing. The key might be the mids figuring out where to be at the right time.
But I will agree It is a very young team. There is still lots of time.

They are not only young, but are very talented individuals. Once they learn to play together, they will a lot of fun to watch.
