Pilots vs. Wisconsin in Seattle...
Is anyone road tripping up North for tomorrow's game? If so, wear a Pilot Nation t-shirt.... I'm most likely going to swing by the game after work.

I plan to be there in my Pilot Nation T-shirt. But if the weather is like last year's Sunday monsoon versus Columbia, the T will be under a fleece jacket, a parka, a blanket and an umbrella.

Friday night will be sunny and probably in the high fifties.
Sunday is calling for chance of showers, but it looks like that will be later in the day. We have the early game, so it should be fine.

For info on Wisconsin, use this link: http://www.nc-soccer.com/wsoccer/2010/schedule/95
For info on Syracuse, use this one: http://www.nc-soccer.com/wsoccer/2010/schedule/190
If you aren't familiar with the NC-Soccer webpages, while you're using these links, spend some time exploring the pages. It is a fantastic resource created by a North Carolina soccer fan, with maintenance help provided by a small group of Division I women's soccer fans from around the country including yours truly and the Geez.

No, looks like Gametracker only for all non-husky games... (Although we do them service for our invite, so I guess we can't complain much...)

Why no live audio - this is the 21st century, right? How hard is it to broadcast a game online?

Re: Pilots vs. Wisconsin in Seattle...
Well, I was debating whether to watch the UW-Evansville men's game here in Portland, or to watch (or listen to) the Pilot women's game on the internet. Gametracker-only makes that a no-brainer.DaTruRochin wrote:No, looks like Gametracker only for all non-husky games

Re: Pilots vs. Wisconsin in Seattle...
Why would the Wisconsin team be given a yellow? Screwing up on the subs or did they complain too much about a call? I hate Gametracker.

Maybe a coach card. The coaches probably don't have their names programmed into GT.

Re: Pilots vs. Wisconsin in Seattle...
A few observations from my first live game of the season
1- Seeing Michaela in person reinforces my belief that she is going to be vital to the team this year if we are going all the way. Things just came alive when she entered the game in the first half. Danielle and Hallie seem to be playing well, but we really need Michaela's speed up front.
2- Ellen Parker was VERY solid at midfield - she came in for Sophie in the second half. After seeing her play, I want to change my vote as to who will replace Sophie for the games she will miss.
3- Garrett's halftime chat, or somerthing, got the Pilots a little more serious for the 2nd half. It could easily have been 3 or 4 - 0 after half with all the near misses.
4- I am still concerned about not finishing as we should, but not as much as before. Wisconsin is a tough team to score on.

FFA
The Ellen Parker comment is very gratifying. She could be very important this season. If she can fill in for Sophie that is important for October when SS is gone. But also opens up the possibility of Sophie playing up front with Dani when she returns which could be very important in the playoffs.

Re: Pilots vs. Wisconsin in Seattle...
Agreed on Ellen.
Looks like she could not only be important for us this season, but also the starting attacking MF for three years after Sophie finishes up her senior year in Nov/Dec.
That's a real key position, so it's great to hear positive things about Ellen in that spot.

Thanks for the great perspective, FFA. Gametracker sucks at giving those kinds of details. Scratch that, Gametracker just sucks. But I am still wondering about the Wisconsin team yellow card - what was that all about?
