Last 2016 WCC Regular Season Game @ USD @ 6

This game is on ROOT TV....

All that is left for the Pilots in the regular season is to determine WHEN they will play the WCC Tournament....WHO they play is out of the team's control at this point.

A UP win and a SCU loss will likely mean a 1PM game on Saturday.

If the Pilots and SCU were to tie, it will likely be an 8:30 game for UP.

UP will obviously play GU, SMC, or BYU, but those 3 three teams will have to sort it out for themselves to determine which will play the Pilots  (I personally wouldn't mind seeing the Pilots have another shot at the Gaels).

The Las Vegas odds makers have all the games pretty even today:

UP by 2.5 at USD
PU by 5 at LMU
BYU by 2.5 at home to GU
UOP at SCU is too close to call
SMC by 8.5 at USF

If were betting, I would not expect any of the games to be quite that close.....

Darn, I submitted a great write-up for this game, and the interwebs ate it.

My summary was that the bettors have it at UP by 2.5, with a 143.5 over/under. So they expect USD to get about 70 points, which is at least 10 over their average. The UP defense has to step up (they allowed USD 82 points last time, with 29 by Sandaze!), and the offense just has to play the solid game they showed against SMC, UOP, and at times against BYU. USD has has some bad offensive games in their last six, all losses. Need to keep them from getting confidence on their Senior Night.

So, USD, who only had 14 points well into the 2nd half last week, has 22 in six minutes.

USD up 5 at half, 40-35. USD was 7-14 from 3PT. Pretty good for a team that averaged 27% on 3PTs this year.

Really? Team minus Bryce shooting 11% for the half? Somebody else needs to stop up!

If Duda could play UP every time, he's be All-American.

San Diego's 85 points is their highest output of the season. Tops the 82 they scored in Chiles, their 2nd highest output.
