Jason Todd to transfer
Well, we knew there was a chance that players would be leaving with the coaching change... looks like Jason Todd is the first to go: https://twitter.com/Jason_Todd10/status/719723833461071873
Really liked Jason as a player, and I definitely wish him the best wherever he ends up. Whatever program gets him will be lucky to have him.

Not a surprise really, but with his great family support and his undeniably terrific work ethic, he will do well in life, no matter what he does.

Re: Jason Todd to transfer
I am not sure that Jason's transfer was entirely related to the coaching change. His character is beyond reproach, impeccable, the word bandied here. But his shooting touch was not so good. It lead to decreased playing time . . .and ultimately playing time may have been the determining factor in Jason's transfer.
Isn't Wednesday the first day for NLOIs to be signed? Is it possible with so little time that we will have a commitment from a prospective student athlete? If we were to assume that one of the 13 b-ball scholarships would be used on him, might Malcolm Porter sign one?

I am surprised, after seeing Todd's enthusiasm following Porter's hiring.

Re: Jason Todd to transfer
Not surprising to anyone who read Ktodd's post in the where do we go from here thread a few weeks ago. I don't know all the details, but clearly there is more to it than just the coaching change.
I always loved the energy that Todd brought. Good luck at your next school!

Re: Jason Todd to transfer
A whole new environment for Jason as he heads to Riverside, California to play for the D2 Lancers, part of the PacWest conference.LeftCoastRecruiting@LC_Recruiting
Former Portland Pilot, Jason Todd will transfer to Cal Baptist
The Lancers' record over the last three years is 78-18, including an impressive 45-2 at home. During that same time frame CBU is 49-11 in PacWest play with three-straight NCAA postseason tournaments, two PacWest first-place finishes and 36 weeks in the NABC Top-25 Poll.
I think Jason's going to really like it there!
