The Blazers made a move to counter LeBron going to the Lakers, by picking up Seth Curry. Unfortunately they weren't listening close enough, and mis-heard the first name. Crying or Very sad

Don't really follow the Blazers, but the Warriors just signed DeMarcus Cousins.....and if he comes back from his torn Achilles tendon he'll be a big contributor, along with Stephen, Kevin, Klay, and Draymond, in countering L.A.Bron this coming season.

I did like Seth Curry at Duke, but I don't think he was even drafted by an NBA team....

Not a huge NBA follower, but it appears the Cousins signing has caused quite the Internet negative backlash as the Warriors starting five is now literally an NBA all-star/Team USA team (Steph Curry - 2x MVP 5x allstar, Klay Thompson - 4x allstar, Kevin Durant - 1x MVP 9x allstar, Draymond Green - 3x allstar, 1x DPOY, Demarcus Cousins - 4x allstar). No competition = no fun = why bother watching anymore if the Warriors are going to win every game + the finals anyway?

Some fans are even starting to migrate to college basketball for their basketball fix. Maybe if the Pilots start getting better this year, we'll get slightly increased attendance from students tired of watching the Warriors win every game. tongue

These last few seasons have been the result of the players' refusal to allow salary cap smoothing. It makes sense from their perspective because it allows the players to make more money, but parity got tossed. There's no way the Warriors could have signed KD before for as much as they did otherwise.

As a Trail Blazers fan, my interest in the NBA is going the way of the NFL... gone.
