Some Interesting Stats Empty Some Interesting Stats

From Ken Pomeroy:

I'm still trying to figure out what it all means, but it looks to me like we are the 16th-best defensive rebounding team in the country (really???) and the 334th most-experienced team. Now, I think he rates 341 D1 teams, so that means that we are very nearly the youngest team in the country. I think we already knew that, but seeing it in a stat form like that... pretty amazing.

Also interesting to note that on the whole our offensive rankings are considerably higher than our defensive ones. If you would have asked me prior to looking at the stats if either offense of defense was our strength, I probably would have guessed defense.

But again, I'm not entirely sure what all these numbers mean. Still, they are fun to look at.

Some Interesting Stats Empty Re: Some Interesting Stats

First time I've seen this statistic:

Average Minutes-Weighted Height (inches): 77.5 46 Effective Height: +1.9 67
By Position... C: +0.7 95 PF: +1.2 51 SF: +1.0 97 SG: +0.7 105 PG: +0.7 110

I guess that means we're taller than the statistical average at every position.

I wouldn't have guessed that, either.
