A well deserved contract extension for Coach Meek!

Coach  Meek  has brought  the program success that almost no one imagined  when he was hired.  "Well deserved " may not adequately  describe the Pilots  offer to him, though it would be nice to have a few details.

Great if this new contract enables us to retain his services longer.

Congratulations to Coach Meek, if any of the UP coaches deserve a contract extension it is Mike after the great way he has turned the program around.

The article headline states Mike's title as the "Doug and Gwen Edwards Director of Basketball..."

I had not seen or heard this title before, what does it mean?

I have followed WCC men's and women's basketball for almost 20 years and have not heard of a head coach having a title like this.

The Women's BB Head Coaching position is an endowed position.
