Its official Sim to Oregon
Its official Garrett Sim chose the University of Oregon
"Former Cal signee Garrett Sim will stick with the Pac-10 after he verbally committed to Oregon on Monday, multiple sources report. The 6-1 Sim was released from his scholarship with the Golden Bears following coach Ben Braun's firing. He had narrowed his choices to Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State and Fresno State. Sim joins a stellar 2008 class for head coach Ernie Kent which includes ESPN 100 prospect Michael Dunigan, Teondre Williams, Drew Wiley, Matthew Humphrey and Josh Crittle."

Quite a class for the Ducks. I wonder what that means about Tinsley... do they have enough scholarships for both?

Tinsley
I have been following Tinsley status as LMU name has come up in his recruitment. However, we have almost no chance in getting him. He recently went to Kentucky and loved it. Also on rivals claims he loved the Virgina visit as well.

Hey IronLions... in today's Portland Tribune it said Tinsley's list was down to four: Vanderbilt, Oregon, Wake Forest, and Arizona State:

That is a legit paper, so I would take that to be more accurate than the web stuff.
Amazing how much is recruiting has blown up since last summer... shows that it's not always best to sign early. I feel badly for Pepperdine though... they could have had a great class with McCoy and Tinsley together.
Oregon City’s Brad Tinsley has narrowed his list of potential colleges to four – Vanderbilt, Oregon, Wake Forest and Arizona State – and will make his decision in the next couple of weeks.
The 6-4 guard has visited Vanderbilt, had a home visit with Arizona State basketball coach Herb Sendek on Monday and will visit Wake Forest this weekend.
“Brad’s been to Oregon a bunch of times and doesn’t need to do an official visit,” says his father, Carl Tinsley. “He may decide to take a visit to Arizona State. He’s really open to all four schools right now.”

Re: Its official Sim to Oregon
Hello Pilot fans, Pep fan here, I believe Ironlions is confusing Tinsley with Paul McCoy, who is looking at Kentucky. After Sim signing with Oregon, I gotta believe it's between Vandy & Wake for Tinsley, although it's interesting to see ASU enter the race late in the game.
And yes, it's frustrating to see two former Walberg signees now going to big-time BCS schools. Add in Paul George now committing to Fresno State and we would have had quite a class coming in, but Asbury and his staff have done a terrific job in signing 4 solid recruits in Dane Suttle Jr.(2006 LA City player of the year and son of Dane Suttle, Pep's all-time leading scorer), PG Lorne Jackson, G Keion Bell and C Corbin Moore. There's also a rumor that Tyrone Shelley has changed his mind and is considering staying but, if the rumors are true, Malcolm Thomas appears headed to Westwood.
Good luck on keeping Reveno.
