Perfect APR Score
I posted this over in the 'Other Sports' thread, but wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in the shuffle... the NCAA just released its APR (Academic Progress Rate) scores for this year, and our women's soccer team had a PERFECT rating of 1000. The APR measures things like graduation rates and making sure students leave in good academic standing and all of that.
Wow, huh? As if this program didn't have enough for us to be proud of.
You can see all of UP's results here:

Re: Perfect APR Score
Suffice it to say that our soccer players, in particular, are ....immensely...immensely.... talented in the classroom....and on the pitch!
I've noticed many of the girls are in infamously tough programs with the College of Arts and Sciences. I know what that's like. I "survived" the rigors of schoolwork in that same college at UP with a good grade....BUT...I did not have the additional commitments of a D1 sport that ate up study time for practice and travel. And then...in addition to that...absence from school for to National Team duty!
Good Grief!! That is such a tough schedule!! They are amazing people and have my utmost respect and admiration!! If the NCAA is looking for model representatives of the Student-Athlete....just have them lookup someone with the UP Women Soccer Program!
GO PILOTS!!!
