Dreaming Big on a Monday
Just today, I noticed that the Big Sky and the Colonial conferences have centralized message boards:
Colonial:
http://www.caazone.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=50
Big Sky:
http://www.bigskyfans.com/
Earlier this summer, I had the dream of starting up a WCC basketball blog since the conference is seemingly primed to have a terrific year with GU, USD, and SMC all possible NCAA teams and with the rest of the conference teams improving. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the time with my work scheduling getting so crazy in the fall.
Still, the dream is still there. I've always lamented the fact that the WCC doesn't really have a strong web presence outside of the official conference site. I think it could potentially turn into something pretty cool.
Thoughts?

I think it's a great idea. I would post there... The WCC has a great tradition with all of those teams. Plus, I like the idea of someone with UP connections running the site...that way you could accidentally make allusions and comparisons to guys like Cooper or Pooh all the time...
If Portland does have a special dark horse mid-major type of a season, you could really help to bring more attention to that with a nice WCC blog site...
