Where did you see that time? The NCAA website says that the game is at 1pm EST, which is 10am PST.

Check out the recap from New Mexico's website... pretty colorful writing for a press release, I would say. Wink

The surreal ending was like that old Twilight Zone episode where everyone freezes into stone - well, not quite everyone. Portland's Logan Emory hammered UNM's Michael Green to the turf, won the ball, and did what any good soccer player does: He kept "playing on" because there was no whistle, therefore no foul.

Emory dribbled the ball down the West sidelines, spotted a streaking Collen Warner in a full sprint near midfield, and lofted a long, high and perfect pass to his teammate.

Great piece of writing about the end of the game. Exactly what I was thinking: it was as if everything stopped except the Pilots attack and the UNM keeper. What happened to the defenders?

I think they believed they had the game won and went to sleep.

The only discussion I remember about the red card was New Mexico denying that they let down after they were a man up.

The most interesting thing to me was that the NM coach said that they were aware of Collen being a very special player, which they have known for a long time because they had tried to recruit him.

For sure. From the pictures I saw, there was no turf. jocolor

I also heard second hand the NM students were throwing trash at the Pilots all night.
