Re: Bracket Pool
Man, my Pilot Nation bracket is choking a mean death with only 20 of 31 correct, but, my best ESPN tournament challenge bracket has 27/31 and is in the 99th percentile of those entered...

Jay Bilas, where you at? Two CAA teams left. VCU has twice as many wins as the rest of the field so I guess they belong.

I'm impressed, goldhelmet has Richmond in the sweet 16. I guess the rest of us will be rooting for Morehead St.

Hahaha believe it or not I have Richmond in the 16 in my OTHER bracket... My winner in that league gets Popeye's chicken apparently. I'm not sure if that is better or worse than a bucket of budwieser...

Re: Bracket Pool
Wow, this end to the Pitt vs Butler game is unreal.... 2 fouls called in the last 1.4 seconds...
Butler wins 71-70!!
Wait, did I have Pitt winning it all?
Edit: Thankfully, no, just in the Final Four... my SE region picks are a joke.

Re: Bracket Pool
The more and more I think about it this year it seems like knowing more about college hoops is almost a hindrance to an accurate bracket...

Re: Bracket Pool
Moving day today. I managed to jump up from the middle of the pack to 5th. After day 1 things look terrible for me, but I still have a shot. (and according to Scenario Generator I still can win!!!!!!)

Re: Bracket Pool
My bracket is officially busted. Lost 3 of my Elite 8 today and there's no way for me to catch DTR no matter what happens.

Re: Bracket Pool
Yeesh!. Why do I pick Big Least teams? #2 seed ND, out. #3 seed Syracuse, out. Third place so far, but with half my Elite Eight picks already gone, looking grim. Amazingly, the scenario generator says I still have a chip and a chair.
BTW, although I had UNC picked, what was up with UW basically throwing away a victory with several unforced turnovers down the stretch.

This must be a year when everyone and their mother messed up their bracket. I only picked 9 of the sweet 16 teams, and somehow I'm still in the top 96% of brackets with ESPN. 36 correct, but, the bracket still looks like a train wreck.

Here's a copy of local Colin Cowherd's bracket: http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/en/entry?entryID=188409
I'm impressed that he had the guts to pick San Diego State over UConn...being that he's an ESPN guy and all. Their staff usually drinks a heavy dose of the New England sports scene Kool Aid.

Re: Bracket Pool
The scenario generator is wasting a ton of my time
I still have a chance, but I need the stars to align.
A couple of notes:
R54 and Woodless! are the only ones who don't still have their champion alive. Oddly enough, Woodless! can still win it, but he needs Butler to win it all. Sorry R54, you have no chance.
By my calculation (feel free to double check), Obama would be leading our league with 49 points.
Picking all the higher seeds would be 45 points, which would be good for 2nd place.

Ouch. Only got 3 of the elite 8.
Looks like everybodys brackets are pretty beat up at this point, even the leaders.
