Nancy and Andy Bryant

A Portland couple has made a major donation to the University of Portland.

Pilot Club members and avid fans Nancy and Andy Bryant donated a combined $500,000 to the university's Executive MBA in Nonprofit Management (EMBA) program and the men's basketball program.

The $350,000 donation to the EMBA program will help students cover some of the program costs. The men's basketball program will receive $150,000.

The Bryants are longtime supporters of the university and attend virtually every Pilots Men's Basketball games.

Nancy Bryant is a member of the University of Portland's Board of Regents and co-chair of the University's RISE fundraising campaign. Andy Bryant is the Executive Vice President of Intel and Vice Chairman of the Intel Board of Directors (and is expected to be named Chairman in May).

As expected, Andy Bryant, one of the basketball program’s biggest supporters is now chairman of Intel.

(The Bryant’s) have long been benefactors of St. Andrew Nativity School and Jesuit High School. In March, they gave $500,000 to the University of Portland, where Bryant's wife, Nancy, is a regent.

Most of that money went to support a program that educates managers of nonprofits. But Bryant earmarked $150,000 for the Pilots men's basketball program.
