VEGAS 2013
I'll give credit to Woodless! for the find . . . flights to Vegas for the tournament are less than $120 round trip.
You have no excuse not to be there

So, you're going to make us search for the $120 R/T flight; or will you share?blacksheep wrote:I'll give credit to Woodless! for the find . . . flights to Vegas for the tournament are less than $120 round trip.

I did hear recently that Vegas has a very cool brew pub. I'll need to ask again what the exact name of the place was.

NASCAR is the same weekend, so hotels, flights and rental cars will get booked.
With no games on Sunday, the race is definitely going to be part of the plan.

Your golf clubs count as one. Also, bring a jacket. If you forget the jacket, maybe Woodless & Blacksheep can give you some tips on jacket shopping at the pro shop.

Is it true that NASCAR is a non-athletic sport centered around rednecks?

Re: VEGAS 2013
NASCAR takes a lot of heat but I will say that I was fully entertained when I went to the race a couple of years ago. The post race tailgate was as intense as any tailgate I'd been too before. Most of the fans were really, really friendly.

Nothing friendlier than having a sweaty 250 lb. race fan come up and hug you and throw up all over your back in the process, which actually happened to me.

Re: VEGAS 2013
This is the first time I'm considering not making the trip. I have a flight for Wednesday night, but won't get to Vegas in time for the game. I just can't seem to justify paying to change my flight or taking that much time off. I can't wait until BYU is no longer in the league. The tournament was much better when it was Friday - Monday.
I feel like 7587's Avatar. Anyone want to cheer me up?

Thanks DD. We were going to meet up in Vegas, but after the whole Manti Te'o thing, I'm a little suspicious.

Re: VEGAS 2013
While I agree on skipping the tourney this year, this is the last year of the current format (thank goodness!!).
Next year, with the addition of Pacific, the tournament will be Thursday - Monday. The Thursday games will be #7 vs. #10 and #8 vs. #9. The winners then feed into a standard 8-team bracket, with quarterfinals Friday, Semis on Saturday, Finals on Monday night.
