Re: 2015 Recruiting
Jordan Dallas, 6-10/200 C from Long Beach Polytechnic High received an offer from UP according to various sources.
Dallas is an ESPN 3-star who averaged 11 points per game in his junior year at Poly.
Dallas apparently has offers from Liberty, Cal St. Fullerton, UP, UTEP, Weber State, Southern Utah, LMU, USD, USF, and Northern Arizona.....so far.

At 6-7/185 he's athletic with long arms and quickness....
This guy must have come out of absolutely nowhere despite being right in Romar's backyard. From zero D1 offers to five in the span of a week, including one from UW?
Washington's 2015 class is technically full right now with David Crisp (PG), Marquese Chriss (PF), and Thybulle's NW Express teammate Dejounte Murray (SG) already committed for 2015.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
Hahaha, yes technically. I know, I know, UW does not have the reputation for student-athletes "transferring" or becoming "walk-ons" like some schools we're very familiar with......but I would imagine that Coach Romar knows a thing or two about getting an extra player or two if he needs to.DeanMurdoch wrote:Washington's 2015 class is technically full right now with David Crisp (PG), Marquese Chriss (PF), and Thybulle's NW Express teammate Dejounte Murray (SG) already committed for 2015.
Don't get me wrong....I really like Coach Romar and the program he runs, but it would seem there's always a way at the D-1 major level, if need be.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
The Portland Pilots website is mentioning a new recruit for 2015: Max Livingston who played for Clark College. From the press release it seems he's a good shooter, commits few turnovers, but does anybody have any sense of how much contribution he could make?

Thought we might see some activity with this weekend's evaluation period, and here you go.
Hastings is a 6-7, 210 PF from Lynden, WA...which is literally five minutes from where I grew up in BC.

Hastings and a number of area ballers are gathered in Bellvue for the Premier Summer Showcase......and there are a lot of D-1 coaches there too.DeanMurdoch wrote:Thought we might see some activity with this weekend's evaluation period, and here you go.@aaronwbeach wrote:2015 Aplus F Scott Hastings has offers from Portland St and Portland. If UP recruits Drew Eubanks and Robert Franks were a bit of a secret before the Showcase, that is no longer the case.....they are both getting a lot of buzz with their versatility and athleticism this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up a few more offers.
Another of the big events going on now is the Magic Showcase in Southern Cal....UP is represented there and at other showcases in the eastern and mid-US.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
USD has apparently "invited" Eubanks to San Diego so he can play baseball without much chance of rain during the spring and play basketball in the winter......pretty inviting for a NW kid.DoubleDipper wrote:And now Ernie Kent wants Drew to matriculate in Pullman.... Re: 2015 Recruiting
Eubanks says he will make a college decision in August. Sounds like he wants to stay close to home, but unfortunately UP is not his only option to make that happen. Gonzaga, WSU and OSU all in the mix: LINK.DoubleDipper wrote:And now Ernie Kent wants Drew to matriculate in Pullman.... Since he wants to play baseball, too, Corvallis might be pretty darn tempting.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
Certainly can't fault the coaching staff's talent evaluation on these guys. First on Eubanks and he may just end up in the Pac-12. Among the first on Thybulle and it looks like he's blowing up and will end up at a high major.
Eubanks now has an offer from USD as well to go along with his UP and Wazzu offers. Wondering if UP has offered him a chance to be a two-sport athlete? If so, the fact that the field is being redone (not to mention UP being a half hour from Troutdale) certainly can't hurt the Pilots' chances.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
Showtime Nation, a scouting service out of DC is reporting that UP has offered Cal Supreme small forward Travis Fuller.
Fuller is listed at 6-8/205 and goes to high school in San Diego. Fuller must be a good baller and a good student; he's listed as having offers from: Cornell, Princeton, UC Davis, Yale, USF, Brown, N. Arizona, American, Wyoming, Weber St. and Lehigh.

Couple of new offers for Robert Franks in the last 24 hours - Seattle and Liberty. That makes four known offers for Franks (UP and PSU are the others).

Re: 2015 Recruiting
Add Oregon State and Arizona State to the list of schools that have offered Eubanks.
Would be nice to be able to take down these PAC-12 schools in a recruiting battle once in a while!!

Re: 2015 Recruiting
IMO Eubanks is gone.....unless he's got a strong desire to stay close to home and the Pilots staff can convince him the new baseball field will make a REAL difference in the baseball program's fortunes. He's said he would like to continue playing baseball, and if that's the case, USD, ASU, and OSU would seem very enticing. And although I have yet to see it reported, I believe he also has an offer from another really good school, UC Davis.DeanMurdoch wrote:Add Oregon State and Arizona State to the list of schools that have offered Eubanks.

Looks like we're in Eubanks top three. Problem is, so are Oregon State and Gonzaga.

Good find, DTL.
Drew is considered Oregon's top recruit in the 2015 class by ESPN and a three-star guy by both ESPN and Rivals. Think it's safe to say that this would be a tremendous pickup for the Pilots.

Wonder if this means Gonzaga will push harder for Eubanks?

It has also been reported that 2015 4-star PF Benny Boatwright has committed to USC on the eve of his planned visit to Gonzaga......
I wouldn't say Eubanks is GU's first choice, but so far their first choices for next year keep disappearing.

Re: 2015 Recruiting
I would have to guess that Eubanks is Portland's top target and that they are spending a lot of time and coming up with unique ideas (like the "Portland: Where big men go to develop" video) on reaching the kid.
