Re: LMU/Pepperdine Weekend
It should be said that Pepperdine provided a pretty decent web experience.
the teams we play in the heart of Silicon valley could learn from them.

Re: LMU/Pepperdine Weekend
It's always a great weekend when you can go on the road, have a view of the beach, and come back home with two wins under your belt
Really enjoyed the way Boon stepped up on the back line and Dees with some really great saves. It's nice to see the Pilots being able to sub, and know the girls coming in can really step it up. The team really came together when Wetherington came in in the second half on Sunday at the attacking mid position, and Sippel on the outside.
Evans registering her second goal for the season and Frisbie letting it be known we can count on her for PKs.
Overall some nice wins, my only question/concern might be the lack of shots taken vs our opponent. We took 21 shots last year against Pepperdine and 18 against LMU. We had the same results and am in no way taking away from our wins... But my questions would be, do we look at this and think we're more accurate than years before? Or is there concern going into playoffs against teams that may not let us get away with taking 11 less shots in the game then them?

Re: LMU/Pepperdine Weekend
We took 10 shots in each of the tournament games last year.
In the draw against WSU we put 8 on goal.
In the loss against Michigan we put 1 shot on frame.
WSU had 19 shots and 10 on frame, by comparison.
Michigan took 8 shots and put 5 on frame in an 0-3 match

Re: LMU/Pepperdine Weekend
I'm having trouble seeing huge differences last year from this. For the season, here are some other stats to look at:
for 13 games this year:
We are allowing just under 3 fewer shots per game for the opponents, and their shot percentage is a bit lower.
we are on pace for about 44 goals v. 43 last year.
and out opponents are on pace for 16.5 goals/21 games vs the 23 we gave up last year.
that is the only statistic that stands out to me as at significantly different.
We are out scoring our opponents 2.45:1 v. Last year's 1.87:1
unfortunately, the stats dont include a shot chart, so we cant tell where the shots are being taken from. My gut says we are more patient, holding the ball more, and looking for better shots. we are starting 5 freshmen now, so I expect the stats might change as they gain experience.
