Beer is better than water

I was going to say the water bureau has turned Portland third world, but my recent travels show the third world takes clean water seriously.


There will be a meeting at the headquarters of the Royal Rosarians later today. Free beer.

While we all knew this to be true all along...  it is nice to be proved correct going into a holiday weekend!  

I went out and got a couple cases of liquid refreshment. More tragedy. I could only find one case of Ninkasi total Domination and had to settle for Widmer Hop Czar for the second case.

All this 'cause that guy peed in the water? So it was beer that started all the trouble?

Not unless the guy managed to pee in two reservoirs  this time.

They are blaming bird poop, but I didn't trust them. They are just trying to justify more money to cap the reservoirs because the spent water district money for other things, like the Rosarian's HQ.

And the stated pollutant is E. coli, which if they were treating the water properly, is never an issue. That's what chlorine ( and fluoride) is all about. You are going to have to struggle hard to convince me these are the first two birds that ever pooped in a pond, and that they picked the same week to do it.

Beer is the savior here. We should all pee in the ponds to help flush the lines. Pee is pretty much sterile anyway.

I don't think a bird big enough to do this has been alive since the dinosaurs were around.
