Hey!, I'm still tied for 2nd place after 3 games! And only 2 points behind PilotNut for total possible (ISU and Baylor in the Elite Looks like we'll be sharing the hall of shame loser's bucket o' beer next year.

Well, I got my wish, but my bracket is now in shreds!DoubleDipper wrote:I've got SMU picked over UCLA, but would much rather see the Bruins pull the upset after all the bad-mouthing they've gotten for "not belonging."
This is kind of a new experience....rooting against your bracket....but you've got to love the underdogs....have Pilots basketball fans ever rooted for the favorites?!
I agree with the officials (who are not allowed to use the monitor in this circumstance) that it WAS goal-tending....and that was the 3-pointer to win it.

UCLA is now the higher seed for round 2, presumably favored to make the Sweet Sixteen.

Re: 2015 Tournament Pick 'em
After the first day, WW Winkie holds the lead. He's an impressive 13/16 with 117 points still possible. He proves the point that a broken clock is still right twice a day!
Deaner is Second with 12/16 but only 109 possible.
There's a logjam of 7 in third place, including last years champ.
Shipstad, 7587, and Stoney couldn't even get half the games right. You guys are done!

. . . and Deaner has now taken the lead. Friends of Coky (is that R54 or DTR?) and the Whizzinator are tied for second.
Winkie still has the most possible points.

Question: Is there a finite amount of beer I will receive in Vegas, or is it all-I-can-drink with the Nation picking up the tab?

Fourth! That's a lot higher than yours truly.....Terry Cahill wrote:Sincerely, Fourth Place
I'm told that out of more than 11.57 million brackets in the ESPN sponsored tournament challenge, only one bracket remained intact after the opening weekend of games.
I mean, I guess one person did predict:
Georgia St. and Coach Ron Harris on a scooter rolling past Baylor.
NC State doing everything possible to throw away the game but still upsetting #1 seed Villanova.
And #3 Iowa St, a very popular dark-horse pick to go to the Final Four, make a complete mess of many brackets by losing to UAB in just the second game on Thursday.
Although UK continues to squash opponents like bugs on the windshield....I'm still picking Arizona or Gonzaga, just because I want a team from the West to prevail!

OK, my turn to set up for a face plant. Might as well enjoy first place while I'm there. I do plan on being in Vegas to collect next year. I assume it's like a skins game and any unclaimed prizes carryover to the following year until somebody collects. Is that correct?

You can keep drinking as long as you pass the PN sobriety test.
So...two beers.

I'm still trying to figure out how PilotNut roared from bottom dwelling to near the top. Meanwhile I cling to my slim lead over Stoney at the bottom of the table.

Here's my list of favorites to win:
1. MaizeBluePurple - According to the Scenario Generator, he's the winner if the higher seeds win
2. Winkie - Currently in first place and tied for most possible points. A Notre Dame win over Kentucky will pretty much do it for him.
3. Blacksheep - This guy's bracket is just awesome. I am tied for most possible and have all four of my final four teams left. Go Sparty!
4. Pilot Riot Punch - Currently in 11th place, but also has all final four teams left.
Lots of other people still alive. Even Friends of Coky isn't mathematically eliminated.

How could anyone not want to be friends with Coky? For those of you who have forgotten, here's Coky not too long after graduating from UP:
Do you suppose there's another Coky out there for Rev to find and bring to UP? One can only hope!

Wow I have a shot? I have been mostly focusing on my family's bracket on Espn. It looks like I will have a hard time passing my 4 year old's chalk bracket.

Well, nothing changed after last night's games.
I don't have cable, so I was forced to watch Kentucky beat the living crap out of West Virginia. I guess Daxter will keep his mouth shut next time. Seriously though, if Kentucky plays like that, nobody will beat them.

Re: 2015 Tournament Pick 'em
How about those Spartans!
My four favorites to win it remain. Pilot Riot Punch and I still have all four final four teams left. Interestingly, we don't have any of the same teams.
Did I mention . . . . Go Sparty!

And then there were three . . .
If Wisconsin wins it all, mattywizz is the winner.
If Duke beats Wisconsin, Pilot Riot Punch wins.
All other possibilities, I win.

Re: 2015 Tournament Pick 'em
Some ESPN bracket stats:
The Spartans were picked in 9.1% of brackets to reach the Final Four, the 12th-highest % of all tourney teams on http://Espn.com
Out of 11.57 million brackets on http://ESPN.com 182,709 (1.6 percent) picked the entire Final Four correctly.
