Congrats to both cross country teams... the men took second at the West regionals today, and the women took 5th.

The men guaranteed themselves a spot at nationals, and the women are looking very, very likely to earn an at-large bid to nationals. It would be the women's first-ever NCAA appearance. They'll find out for sure tomorrow.

One of the girls on the team just told me the women's X-C Team DID earn an at-large bid and will be heading to the NCAA National Championships.

(Indiana State University will host the championships, Saturday, November 19, in Terre Haute, Indiana. The women’s race will begin at 8 am PST, followed by the men’s race at approximately 9 am PST)

Yes indeed! Official release here: http://www.ncaa.com/news/cross-country-men/article/2016-11-12/di-cross-country-mens-and-womens-championship-qualifiers

It's the men's 14th trip to nationals, and the women's first.
