Re: VEGAS!
Being a Pilot fan in CT. It's total fun! I don't find it weird, I route for many Catholic universities all over the country. Xavier, St. Joe's, Fordham, Manhattan. UP is a well respected school that I once wish to visit. The only downside...Unless the play @ MSG, I won't see any games. Still, I listen on the radio, watch on the Portland Website, and keep up with the news here and on the Oregon Newspapers. I wish I could see the tournament, hopefully I'll see the finals on ESPN.

Re: VEGAS!
Anyone else a little disappointed in the Vegas trip giveaway Saturday night? There were no instructions given on the postcard stating that you needed to turn in those chips for a drawing on the way in (or was that just me that missed that?!)... no announcement stating you needed to do it, either... Not much of a build up or suspense either... I dunno. Glad i'm going regardless!
What are the odds that those tickets end up on ebay or craigslist?
I liked the idea last year to make people actively vie for the prize trip--then you make sure it goes to someone that REALLY wants and/or deserves it...

Re: VEGAS!
I agree. I didn't get entered because I didn't know how to do it. They sent a chip in the mail to season ticket holders, but they only sent one chip no matter how many tickets you bought. Needless to say, I didn't get the chip.
I wasn't going to spend that much time trying to figure it out because the trip is already booked.

You could pick up a chip at the game (free) each person admitted to the game got one if they wanted. Then they stamped your wrist to make sure you didn't double up.
I though it was a good way to keep from giving the tickets to some Zag Fan who bought season tickets just to get tournament tickets. (it happens)

Re: VEGAS!
Unfortunately it appears that we will be playing in the late game, which means we won't be able to attend the first game if we want to attend the pregame function. Either way, I will be at the pregame.
Sorry Geez, they don't sell buckets of Pliny
Anyone up for a Pilot Nation event? We could reserve a couple a lanes in the Bowling alley between the morning and afternoon games. Any other ideas?

Tough to go to a show at 8:00 when the games are at 7:30, but there are lots of shows on the strip that start much later.

I think it'd be cool to do a PN event. Count me in.

La Mesa will be there after a one year absence he attended the last one at the diet center in San Diego and has made the pass over the Hoover Damn many a time(including a ill fated marriage). I will be only attending basketball and/ or PN activitys this time, possibly the golf tourney. However, I do not have any pending nuptials at the Elvis Chapel and look foward to seeing Nut,Geez,SS11, Up7587, and everybody else at PN activitys with my PN shirt on

Re: VEGAS!
I am going to go ahead and reserve some bowling lanes on Sunday at 11AM. There is a possibility that the Pilot women's team will be playing during that time, so we may have to cancel or move the times. Because of leagues and other events, their available times are limited so this is the best I could do.
The more Pilot fans the better, but I need to reserve the lanes, so I need to know by Monday morning who is interested. This is open to all Pilot fans, so if you know of non PN Pilot fans who wish to attend, please invite them. Please either post on this page or send me a PM with the number of people in your group who will attend. The cost is $11 for three games, shoe included. Since it's Vegas you should also budget some money for some side bets as well.
Come out and enjoy a great time with your PN friends. Rochin54 will be there, and I will drag UP7587 there as well

I thought you would still be hung over at 9. Figured you'd be drunk again by 11, and have forgotten all about being hung over. Do I need to give you till 11:30 to drink away your hangover?

Re: VEGAS!
I haven't received enough interest in a bowling event to reserve the lanes. I still plan on Bowling at 11 (that's right, AM ) on Sunday unless there is a women's game. It sounds like there should be some open lanes. I will get there yearly to make sure. There will be about 8-10 of us, so look for some guys wearing purple. If there is a women's game, I will post on here a new time. If anyone has any better suggestions as to times, let me know.

Why would you get there yearly?

Prices just went down again. A five minute call could save you tens of dollars on your hotel room.

Re: VEGAS!
Per the Orleans web site the hotel is sold out Friday and Sunday nights...
Hmmm, I am curious, from a business strategy, why they would lower rates when the hotel is essentially sold out? Not to look a gift horse in the mouth...

Re: VEGAS!
My guess is that the WCC had some rooms reserved, and they were just released. The Gonzaga fans don't show up for the Early games, so they still have lots of rooms for Friday night.

Well, it doesn't cost them anything. I used to have a store where people would come in looking for some pretty limited production stuff after they had gone to another store that had put the stuff on sale after they sold out. They'd invariably ask if I would match the sale price, and I told them I would when we sold out, too.
