Re: 2022 Bracket Challenge
First game is an upset. #11 Michigan(ugh) defeats #6 Colorado St. 75-63. The Rams couldn't hit their shots.
Looks like no one in PilotNation will have a perfect bracket.

I had Michigan, so did blacksheep! I think the scoring system just hasn't kicked in yet.

Re: 2022 Bracket Challenge
I ... Almost had Michigan. Then I decided to play it "safe" this year and decided Baylor going down next round was a right thigh bet on it's own.
Edit: decided to be a WCC Homer this year so if the WCC doesn't do well.... I'll be busted

Re: 2022 Bracket Challenge
3 games in, and we still have 2 perfect brackets. Howard Hall and I.
We also have 3 with no correct picks. Woodless, fan4Life, and 7587.

Re: 2022 Bracket Challenge
I'm down two sweet 16 teams, Iowa being one and Marquette the other, but I put two 1s and two 2s in the final four.

And my 2nd Final four team is out. #2 seed Kentucky is out. Sad faces abound, and lots of tickets suddenly for sale.

Oh yeah, Isaiah Dasher advances to 2nd round, something Marcus Shaver could not do.

Looks like he's going to be the only former Pilot to advance with SDSU's collapse.

And Tahiru Diabate also did not advance.
Shaver started for Boise St and a had a poor scoring game with 4 points, Dasher scored two points for St. Peter's, and "D" scored two points for San Diego St.

Wasn't following this game. SDSU lead by 9 with under 4 minutes left, Creighton scored 9 in a row to force OT.

Re: 2022 Bracket Challenge
Best games of the day, IMO:
1. Probably St. Peter's win over UK. Not just because it went to OT, but because a coach who probably earns around $200,000 at a small Catholic school beat one who "earns" in excess of $9,000,000 per year at a large public school.
2. Murray St. and USF. Some pretty phenomenal play, but too bad both teams were missing important players.
3. Arkansas and Vermont. Lots of ties and lead changes. I picked the Catamounts, and they almost got the upset.

I saw somewhere that Kentucky has four assistant coaches who each make more than the St. Peter's head coach.

Well, one of those guys isn’t a coach.
The NCAA only allows 3 assistants in D1 , and The EADA cutting tool database only lists 3 assistants.
there is Bruiser Flint, with the title of associate to the head coach, but he is listed in the support staff category. Amazingly, there are 29 of those folks on the staff, or about 2 support staff per scholarship athlete.
